The purpose of German Interest Group-Wisconsin is to assist our members with their German genealogy research. 

We do not do research for others but assist members by having monthly educational meetings. 

Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month except for January, July and September. We meet at 7:00 pm central time at St. Mark Lutheran Church located at 2921 Mt. Zion Avenue, Janesville, Wisconsin. 

Membership also includes access to our online speakers through Zoom. Members receive a link prior to the meeting.

Membership in GIG runs on the calendar year. Membership starts on January 1st and runs until December 31st. 

Remember to update any email or postal address changes that you may have. Membership includes a copy of the organization’s newsletter, access to online  and placement of the names you are researching on the group’s surname database.
